Refinance of House Converted to Flats


The client needed to raise funds to carry out improvements to three of their HMO properties, however the client was in her early 70’s and had limited options, especially as two of the properties owned were in the final stages of being converted into flats.


We sourced a lender that understood the benefits of the conversion to flats, was able to take a view on the wider portfolio and succession planning of the client and offer flexible payment terms.


A loan was approved offering the full amount that was affordable over a longer period, but with flexibility of over-payments so the debt could be cleared by the client’s 75th birthday.
