Bathgate Win “Business of the Year” at WBAs

West Kirby-based business finance specialists, Bathgate Business Finance, has been named “Business of the Year (1 – 25 employees)” at the Wirral Business Awards 2022.

The awards, which celebrate the very best of industry and innovation in Wirral, took place on Friday 30th September at Woodford Ferry Village, and also marked 110 years of Wirral Chamber of Commerce supporting businesses in Wirral and the Liverpool City Region.

The team from Bathgate Business Finance celebrated the award throughout the evening, taking to the dancefloor at the 1920’s themed-ceremony to join awards host, John Barnes MBE in an impromptu rendition of England’s 1990 World Cup song World In Motion by New Order.

Speaking of the accolade and the event, Gordon Andrews, MD at Bathgate Business Finance, said: “What a fantastic evening and an absolute honour to win the ‘Business of the Year (1-25 people)’ award. We had tough competition from our category-mates EcoGrid and Recruit Right, who we’d like to congratulate, along with all the other finalists and winners.

I am delighted to see them receive this recognition and I want to thank all of them for their dedication, innovation and teamwork that has allowed not just our business to thrive, but those of our clients too.

As well as its WBA win, Bathgate Business Finance has also been shortlisted in a host of other awards this year, including in the “Professional Services Business” category at the Merseyside Independent Business Awards, which take place on 20th October, and “Business of the Year (under 30 employees)” category at Liverpool Chamber’s Innovation in Business awards and “Business of the Year” category at the West Cheshire and North Wales Annual Recognition Awards 2022, the winners of which will be announced in November.
